Grand Teton National Park

Tetons (3)Grand Teton National Park is about 10 miles south of Yellowstone.  Other than the park’s two lakes and surrounding prairies, the park has one main feature: the peaks of the Teton Mountains.  The bold contrast of these 7000 feet tall mountains and the flat valley floor is breathtaking.

We did see some wildlife in the park: several bison, elk, pronghorn, and even a coyote.  We spent our time there taking-in the grandeur of the mountains from various angles.  The jewel-like lakes offered spectacular scenes by reflecting the beauty of the mountains a second time!  We stayed in the cute nearby town of Jackson Hole, which caters to tourists with lots of fun, but overpriced eating and shopping.
